On 9 th October 2004 I set off for China to take part in the Great Wall of China Sponsored Challenge. A group of nine of us will spend five days trekking along mainly unrestored sections of the Wall and camping at night in the valley below the Wall. I have no doubt that it will be hard work but exhilarating and above all a very worthwhile challenge.
